- Proficient in organ and/or piano
- Technical proficiency in playing from lead sheets, accompanying anthems, sight reading, and solo performance
- Demonstrated skill in leading congregational music and directing a small choir
- Relate well to adults and children; and work well as a team member
- Be supportive of church staff and policies and willing and able to communicate that support
The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Gates, New York is looking for a church organist/pianist to lead music at one worship service per weekend, plus holy days.
Details:
- Weekend Worship Service – Sunday 10:00 am
- Includes work with small choir before each service, and for Holy Days.
- Holy Days (include but not limited to): Christmas eve, Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, & Holy Thursday
- Open to playing for special services, e.g., weddings and funerals (additional stipend provided)
Job Type: Annual Contract
Compensation Range: $110.00 – $140.00 per Service
- A person of faith a plus
- Familiarity with the Eucharistic Service and Episcopal Hymnals a plus
