Qualifications & Requirements:   By invitation or nomination, Central America, Membership Required, US + Central and South America, US Citizen or permanent resident card holder

These scholarships are geared towards young performers or scholars who specialize in Medieval, Renaissance, or Baroque music and instruments. They support advanced study and auditions outside North America, with a focus on Europe, and encourage specialized study in ethnic/folk traditions, instruments, and styles. Also offered are awards for outreach projects, engaging children and adults in Early Music, as well as scholarships to performers at all levels of experience to support attendance at Early Music workshops in the United States and Canada. What makes EMA special is that they also give out monthly mini grants of $500 for community engagement. Some of the opportunities require EMA membership.
