Bio:

Stephen Lamb, tuba, currently serves as a tuba player in the United States Coast Guard Band, a position he has held since 2003. Additionally, he is Principal Tuba of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and currently serves at the orchestra’s Personnel Manager. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s degree from the Shepherd School of Music of Rice University. As a performing musician, Steve has appeared with the orchestras in Houston, Buffalo, Rochester, Hartford, and Springfield (MA). He served as principal tuba on concert tours with both the Eastman Wind Ensemble and the American Russian Young Artists Orchestra. Administratively, Steve has spent time in both the US Coast Guard Band and Rhode Island Philharmonic working in Education Outreach, Tour Planning, Marketing, Video Production and Personnel Management. Additionally, Steve is the Adjunct Lecturer of Tuba and Euphonium at Eastern Connecticut State University.
