Originally from Iowa, Rachel has built a career connecting the worlds of music, leadership, and education. Her work has focused on helping musicians and arts organizations grow through leadership development, innovation, and community building. Rachel previously served as Associate Professor of Music Leadership and Director of the IML at Eastman, where she led the MA in Music Leadership and oversaw institute programs and partnerships. She now serves as Associate Dean at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Rachel has also held leadership positions with the New England Conservatory and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and holds degrees from Eastman (BM), Harvard (EdM), and UR’s Warner School of Education (EdD).
