Bio:
Harpist Erica Powell has an active career and studied at the Eastman School of Music with Kathleen Bride. Powell is sought out for her charismatic performances and thorough teaching. She performed aboard luxury British cruise liners. While in the UK, she worked as a freelance harpist and teacher and performed with many orchestral groups, smaller ensembles and taught at The Sage Gateshead. After returning to the USA, Powell continued her freelancing work. Powell was fortunate to secure a long-time contract at The Pelican Hill Resort, a 5-star hotel in Newport Coast, CA as well as two television appearances in the popular TV show, GLEE. She has 20 years of teaching experience, through her private studio and has held two harp tutor positions in the pre-college level. She provides a strong technical foundation and a variety of practical tools which allow her students to pursue their dreams as harpists.
