We had an impactful visit with Catie Hickey and Butter Chicken. They integrated their musical presentation with personal stories of the band’s formation along with their long range goals of serving their communities in a meaningful way. Each member of the band spoke about these aspects. I appreciate that theirs is a band that fuses many musical styles and genres together; the individual players spoke about the importance of understanding and appreciating one another’s “native” ingredients in the musical mixture.
