The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word seeks applicants to fill vacancies for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass section leaders for the 2026-27 choir season. Section leaders provide vocal support to the parishioner members of the choir, forming the basis of the choral sound, sing solos within anthems when required, and occasionally offer special solos or chamber pieces during worship.
The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. and sings for the 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship (typical choir call is 8:45 a.m.), as well as Sunday afternoon/evening services and Holy Week services (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening). Pay is $100 weekly (assuming 1 rehearsal and 1 service), with additional compensation for solo work and extra services. Flexibility is granted for ESM holidays, opera responsibilities, etc. in communication with the Director of Music.
