Newbrough Piano Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit music school in Brighton, serving roughly 100 students a year in piano, voice, jazz, and other instruments — from early childhood through adult study. We were founded in 2024 on a simple idea: high-quality music instruction should be accessible, and students should have real opportunities to perform, achieve, and be recognized for it.
The Role
We’re hiring a piano teacher to join our faculty. You’ll teach private lessons and may contribute to group classes and ensembles.
What You’ll Do
- Teach private piano lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes) to students across ages and levels
- Build individualized lesson plans and track student progress
- Prepare students for recitals and community performances, including our Candlelight Gala Recital, Holiday Choir, and seasonal community events
- Communicate with families about progress, practice, and goals
- Assess student progress and ability
- Keep lesson notes and attendance current
- Participate in faculty meetings and occasional studio events
