Double bassist Samantha Liu won a Special Opportunity Grant to intern with
the Altschuler Summer Music Institute in Premilcuore and Rimini, Italy. She
served in roles with the Orchestra Manager and Scheduling Department,
gaining practical experiences and valuable insights into the administrative
side of a music festival. “This experience gave me a deeper understanding of
the behind-the-scenes efforts that drive a music festival,” Liu says.
“Balancing administrative tasks with the creative aspects of performing
showed me just how important clear communication and adaptability are.”
