Scott Lykins blends artistic performance as a cellist and pianist with administrative creativity as Artistic & Executive Director of the Lakes Area Music Festival in Brainerd, MN– an organization he founded with colleagues from Eastman in 2009. As a cellist, he is a member of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and freelance musician in the Twin Cities. As an administrator, he is a graduate of the Catherine Filene Shouse Arts Leadership Program at Eastman and has completed coursework in nonprofit leadership at Harvard University’s Kennedy School and the St. Thomas University’s College of Business.
