Bio:

Myles Boothroyd is a saxophonist, teacher, and music scholar. He is Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Music Theory at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is the soprano/alto saxophonist for Generation Quartet, and he also performs with the award-winning East End Quartet founded at the Eastman School of Music. He currently serves on the 2022 NASA Biennial Conference Programming Committee and will give a solo recital and masterclass at the upcoming conference. Boothroyd holds a DMA and MM in saxophone performance and literature, and a MA in music theory pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music. He is a recipient of the Eastman Arts Leadership Certificate and Performer’s Certificate, and in 2018, he received the Edward Peck Curtis Award for excellence in teaching by a graduate student. Boothroyd holds a BM in Education, with minors in instrumental music and secondary mathematics education, from Central Michigan University.
