Bio:

Lulu Cossich holds a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education, respectively, from the Eastman School of Music. At Penn, she served as co-editor of the Perspectives on Urban Education Journal and assisted in research and practice of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Empowering Families for Innovative Philanthropy (EFIP) and BMN College. She has presented on topics including Creating Culturally Sustaining Classrooms, The Preconceived Notions of Students of Color and Instrument Selection, Latin American Movement in the Classroom, Gender Inclusivity in the Music Classroom, and Identifying and Fostering Musical Behaviors in Bilingual Children. She is on the National Board of the Gordon Institute for Music Learning. Furthermore, she has led Latine/x affinity spaces for students and adults. She is currently the Assistant Director of Lower School at the William Penn Charter School in East Falls, Philadelphia.
