Bio:

Dr. Daniel Kuehler serves as Artist/Teacher of Piano at Hillsdale College, where he joined the faculty in 2021. His passion involves researching and sharing with his students how neuroscience can inform and enhance practicing and performance. He has presented his research at the CMS and MTNA National Conferences. Dr. Kuehler holds a DMA in Piano Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Natalya Antonova and also earned a Certificate in Arts Leadership. At Eastman, he was awarded the Teaching Assistant Prize for Excellence in Teaching and the distinguished Lecture Recital prize. Dr. Kuehler has performed as a soloist, collaborator, and concerto soloist in Russia, Vienna, Portugal, China, and numerous venues throughout the United States. Weekly, he performs live Virtual Bedside Concerts for patients at Strong Memorial Hospital through the Eastman Performing Arts Medicine program. He is also Managing Director of the UMSL Summer Keyboard Camp.
