Chris is the inaugural Executive Director of WashU Public Exchange, an initiative at Washington University St. Louis that bridges the gap between people doing good work and academic experts who can take it further – building partnerships that help organizations and universities work together to solve societal problems that matter with solutions people can put into action.
Chris brings a track record of turning big ideas into real-world change. As CFO of Nest, a nonprofit focused on the global artisan economy, Chris helped lead innovative programs that promote prosperity and sustainability across 120 countries with the support of corporate partners ranging from Target to Bloomberg Philanthropies to Hermès. He is the author of Certifiable: How Businesses Operationalize Responsible Sourcing, a guide to advancing supply chain transparency and corporate responsibility. He has taught on social impact and sustainability at NYU’s Stern School of Business, where he earned his Executive MBA in Global Business, Strategy, and Leadership, and has lectured on corporate responsibility at universities around the country.
