Bennett Coughlin is a percussionist and music educator based in the Greater Syracuse–Auburn area of New York. He currently serves as a music teacher in the Auburn Enlarged City School District and holds multiple leadership roles with the Auburn Vanguard Marching Band, including Percussion Caption Head, Music Coordinator, and Music Arranger/Composer. He is also the Director of the Auburn High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Bennett has also served on the staffs of the New York Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corps, the Cicero–North Syracuse Northstars Marching Band, Troopers Legacy Corps and University at Albany Marching Great Danes. His students have gone on to perform with various ensembles across Drum Corps International. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music (M.A.), the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam (B.M.), and Onondaga Community College (A.A.S.). His percussion studies have included private instruction and masterclasses with renowned artists including Jim Petercsak, Robert Bridge, Catherine Meunier, Michael Burritt, and John Beck, among others. Bennett is an Education Artist Endorser for Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets.
