Quote: “ALP is one of the most distinguishing opportunities available to Eastman students. My experiences in ALP classes and internships uniquely prepared me with both the soft and hard skills necessary to succeed as a military musician – beginning with the interview portion of the audition and extending through the non-performing roles that I have taken on in our command (including managing national auditions, coordinating our Young Artist Solo Competition, and serving as a representative of the Navy Band annually at the Midwest Clinic). Additionally, I partially credit my audition success to my ALP internship experience with The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” There is nothing as educational and inspiring as getting the chance to observe (and perform with!) professionals in your dream career field!”
