The ALP Certificate is what helped me find my path in the industry. I don’t think I’d be where I am today without having had the opportunity to learn from such incredible faculty on a variety of subjects that do not come standard with a performing arts degree. This ceritficate program and the internships that were suported by it, allowed me to learn and develop the many entrepreneurial skills I use every day, which have allowed me to grow into the skilled arts manager and administrator I am today.

Bio:

Sarah Forestieri is an arts administrator, soprano, and educator. She is the City of Brampton Performing Arts Associate, where she is responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to execute performing arts events, services and programs for the community. Sarah was the Manager of Community Partnerships & Programs at the Canadian Opera Company. Sarah has performed worldwide, including at the Eastman Opera Theatre, Toronto Operetta Theatre, the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy, The Franz-Schubert Institut, and at Songfest as a Schubert Fellow. During her graduate studies, she conducted and published an independent research project entitled, “Combating Institutionalized Sexism in Opera Leadership.” Sarah holds a MM in Voice Performance & Literature and a certificate in Arts Leadership from the Eastman School of Music, and a BM from the University of Toronto in Voice Performance. Sarah is also the Community Manager at From the Voice of, an online community for connecting and engaging with forward-thinking singers and voice educators.
