Taking up Residence with Eighth Blackbird (with Teacher Notes and Instructions)
$12.75
Description
Eighth Blackbird is a Chicago-based contemporary chamber music sextet and an artist-in-residence at several institutions. This case study profiles a pair of contrasting artist residency agreements in Eighth Blackbird’s portfolio–one with a university and the other with a museum of contemporary art. Students will examine the nature and outcomes of the residencies, assess the merits of the organization’s arrangements with its host institutions, and consider new residency ideas for Eighth Blackbird.
