The Penderecki musik:akademie westfalen is a summer orchestra academy forming part of the international classical music festival, which has been held since 2009. It is designed as an annual summer academy with international participation, featuring well-known teachers who give orchestra academies, master-classes for individual instruments, composition workshops or courses on certain themes.
