We Are Looking for Young Musician Video Bloggers!
Polyphonic On Campus is looking for our next team of video bloggers! Video bloggers are young musicians who are typically 21-35 years old and want to share their experiences via regular video blogs. Video bloggers are paid a stipend and receive a wealth of exposure on Polyphonic.org and our social media profiles.
Video bloggers chronicle a year of their musical lives by recording a 2-5 minute video blog every two weeks for one year. The goal of the video blogs is to provide content that is relevant, useful, and inspiring to other young musicians, thereby creating a resource for learning and sharing. Imagine someone just a few years behind you who could follow your video blogs and learn from your ideas and experiences! The blogs can focus on a wide range of topics such as:
- An update on your recent musical activities
- A recap of a recent musical experience
- Your views on a musical issue such as the importance of talking with audience members
- Stories from your musical life
- Tips you have found useful in your career
- Tools you find useful in your career, technology, etc.
- How you manage your time as a musician
- Things you wish you knew as an undergraduate or graduate student
Previous video bloggers have been located around the US, and represent a wide variety of instruments, specialties, and careers. You can view current and past video bloggers and their videos here.
If you are interested in video blogging, email info@polyphonic.org. Tell us why you are interested in being a video blogger and we will reply promptly with more information. Your initial email must be received by July 15 at 5:00pm. Video bloggers will start in early September. We look forward to hearing from you!
