Essentials of Orchestra Management
February 4-13, 2014 – New York City
Essentials of Orchestra Management is a ten-day journey that will prepare you for the challenges orchestras are facing today and tomorrow. Arming yourself with the vital skills you need to be a great leader is the foundation for a great organization. The course is led by co-directors Brent Assink, executive director of the San Francisco Symphony and Deborah Rutter, president and CEO of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. They will be joined by a faculty of over 40 additional experts. The seminar provides an overview of how the complex jigsaw puzzle of an orchestra comes together to produce extraordinary musical results and critical service to its community.
