Refreshingly diverse in their backgrounds, the members of Tonality are united under a common goal of social justice as expressed through wide-ranging vocal art. This case study surveys the impetus behind the formation of Tonality. It reviews some of the group\u2019s early programs and highlights its ability to stir audiences to action at its performances. Tonality\u2019s effectiveness lies in live performance, and the themes it embraces have the power to move audiences beyond Los Angeles.
