Serving music educators and students statewide, the\u00a0<strong>Texas Music Educators Association<\/strong>\u00a0(TMEA) achieved a meaningful legislative victory with the passage and implementation of Senate Bill 815 in 2003, which mandated standards-driven music education in all districts. This case describes the journey to pass this legislation, as well as lessons learned through lobbying for arts education.
