Based in The Netherlands, Caroline performs with various leading early music ensembles around Europe and teaches at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, where she enjoys a wide variety of roles, teaching baroque cello and \u201cthe Historical Development of the Cello and Viola da Gamba,\u201d as well as beginning cello in the PI: Music for Pre-school children program, and as a supervisor for Master students in Artistic Research. She is passionate about community engagement and teaches in the \u201cThe Residents,\u201d an instrumental music program developed by the Residentie Orkest of the Hague for underserved elementary students. Caroline has performed as soloist and chamber musician at the Library of Congress, the Concertgebouw, the Kennedy Center, Amsterdam Cello Biennale, Edinburgh Festival, Leipzig, Th\u00fcringen Bachwochen, Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, and M\u00fasica Antigua de Barcelona, her playing been regarded as \u201csincere and nuanced\u201d (The Washington Post), \u201cparticularly distinguished\u201d (De Volkskrant) and \u201c[…]brings out the warmth of the solo lines\u201d (Early Music America).
