ArtistShare®, founded in 2001 as the internet’s first fan-funding platform, connects artists with fans in order to share the excitement and beauty of the creative process, document the work of today’s most exciting creators, and allow fans to participate directly by funding and observing the creation of new artistic works.
The Eastman School of Music, founded in 1921, is a fully comprehensive school of music with world-class instruction and programming, graduating students with the highest levels of musicianship skills and entrepreneurial savvy, ready to take on the challenges of a professional career.
The goal of the Eastman / ArtistShare® Partnership is to recognize and support the career and artistic development of exceptional Eastman students and alumni through two initiatives:
The Eastman / ArtistShare® New Artist Program
Eastman students and recent alumni, selected through a competitive process, will be featured as ESM/AS Featured New Artists on an exclusive co-branded page on the ArtistShare® website. These featured artists will receive promotion, professional services, project support and the opportunity to release a commercially available recording through the ArtistShare® label. Artist projects will also be promoted on Eastman’s Institute for Music Leadership website.
The Eastman / ArtistShare® Launchpad Featured Project Program
Eastman students and recent alumni, selected through a competitive process, will be featured on the The Eastman / ArtistShare® Launchpad Featured Project page on ArtistShare®’s Launchpad crowd-funding platform (projects page). The Launchpad information page will present the selected artists’ projects with Eastman’s endorsement and branding, and will also be promoted on Eastman’s Institute for Music Leadership website.
