About this event:
This fall, the Ain Center is working with Eastman’s Institute for Music Leadership and a number of community partners to offer a series of online workshops, called Roc the Business of Art, aimed to help artists in the greater Rochester area develop business and entrepreneurial skills. This partnership is through the Arts in the Loop Initiative. This workshop will focus on Choosing & Using Your Online Platform.
This two-part workshop provides an overview of different online platforms that artists can use to help address their specific needs. The first part will discuss how platforms can be used for an artist’s particular needs and goals. The second part will provide artists with an interactive learning experience to dive into platforms, as well as how to utilize physical materials (hard-drives, webcams, microphones, etc.) to maximize their online experience. This workshop will include a live Q&A so that participants can ask questions about the platforms they use and/or would like to learn more about.
Note: Workshop attendees have the ability to earn a professional development certificate by completing all workshops in Modules 1, 2, and 3 in this series. Workshop participation can be synchronous or asynchronous; live workshops will be recorded and shared on a closed link, viewable through March 1, 2021. For those that complete all workshops in this three-part series, electronic certificates will be emailed on November 10, 2020 and March 10, 2021.
