Mike Reed

Michael Reed is a marketer who works with clients to increase their marketing ROI. He uses technology, insights, analytics, and automation to help accelerate business growth, guide sales & marketing alignment, and turn marketing into a profit center.   Michael is currently the Marketing Technology Manager at Paychex, where he defines and manages the technology vision, strategy and infrastructure to achieve Paychex business drivers and organizational goals.   Michael has 4 years of marketing agency experience and previously spent 6 years at the Eastman School of Music’s Institute for Music Leadership. In his role as Assistant Director of the Center for Music Innovation & Engagement, Michael was involved in the technical development of Polyphonic.org, the orchestra musicians’ forum. He also produced eTheory LIVE, an interactive online music theory course. Michael taught three courses as part of the Arts Leadership Program; Digital Marketing, Advanced Digital Portfolio, and Technology for Musicians.   Michael earned his MBA from the University of Rochester, and his Bachelor's degree in music business from Mansfield University, PA. He is an active musician who plays drums in a local dance band called Up 2 Somethin’. Michael serves as the board secretary for the Rochester Hearing and Speech Center and is on the board of directors for the Hochstein School of Music and Dance. Michael resides in Hilton, NY with his wife, Missy, and their three children.
