Maya Crane

Maya Crane is a talented project manager, researcher and visionary. She is an Equity Program Officer at the Rochester Area Community Foundation where she works to promote grant-making goals for community change. Under the equity goal, she works towards closing the academic achievement and opportunity gap, fostering racial and ethnic understanding and partnering against poverty.

Maya holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Russell Sage College and a Master’s in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College. She is also a graduate of the 2017 United Way African American Leadership Program and the 2019 Leadership Rochester class.

Maya has served in business and nonprofit roles throughout her career. She has worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Church of Love Faith Center, Foxwise Technologies, Bank of America and Connected Communities. She has an extensive background in operations management, implementation and execution of strategic plans, customer and employee relationship building, training and community engagement.

Maya strives for excellence in all that she does. Maya is the Vice Chair of Exploration Elementary Charter School. She is a member of Jack and Jill of America Inc., an organization for mothers of African American children and a founding member of the Rochester chapter of 100 Women Who Care.  Maya currently resides in Rochester, NY with her husband Jeremy and children, James and Reiss.
